Disney Plus Movie List

Disney Plus Review By The Marvel Summoner

Hear ye! Hear ye! The time has finally arrived where we see the first direct result of Disney buying Marvel and I as the Marvel Summoner am here to give my personal Disney Plus review on all the Disney Plus movie list in this new streaming platform. I just registered for the package that includes Disney Plus, Hulu and the ESPN stream services and I will say there are things that I like and things that I do not like about this platform. Let’s start with what I don’t like. First, when you are watching a show on Disney Plus you can very easily see your show pause and lose connection, or notice that the platform itself is a bit slow to register navigational movement through the TV shows and movies. I am pretty sure this is due to the massive amount of unexpected initial registrations which most likely slowed down the processing speed of the streaming service. Secondly, I am used to being able to easily find and continue to watch shows that I recently watched in the ‘Recently Watched’ or ‘Continue Watching’ section of Netflix, so to see that Disney Plus does not have this section makes it hard to start and continue binge watching certain TV shows or movies you like. Now, on the positive side, I absolutely love the selection of movies and TV shows they have specifically for the list of Disney TV Shows, Disney Star Wars Shows found, and my favorite listed Disney Plus Marvel movies. I will go into each of these in more detail later on. For all my Marvel fans that enjoy a good College or Pro Football game, the ESPN channel of this service is great. They really built this into a one stop location and resource for all current NBA, College Football, NFL and soccer games, this is also including UFC fights. You can stream games, fights in real time and see statistics on how your favorite team is doing. With this being said, I would still greatly recommend getting this new service, especially if you already have Hulu as this package is $12.99 for the entire package, when you already pay $11 for the monthly Hulu fee. Now you would be getting all things Disney and ESPN so that sounds like a win to me. I want to go more in depth in my Disney Plus review of this Disney Plus movie list streaming service, read more and let me know if you agree on any of my points given below.

Disney Plus Movie List

Honestly the biggest thing that I want to highlight about the Disney Plus movie list is I can tell a lot of thought was considered when choosing the movie list presented in each channel of this streaming service. The Disney Plus movie list really tells a story of how each channel from Disney to Marvel has grown and evolved over the decades from the 90s until now. From browsing through the Disney Plus movie list you can tell they really want this streaming service to cater to eyes of all ages.

What Is On the List Of Disney TV Shows?

For me I am more of a 90s and early 2000s Disney movie and TV show fan. I used to watch most Disney shows and movies when I was in Middle School and High school. With this being said, as soon as I began browsing the list of Disney TV shows and movies on Disney Plus, I was excited to take a trip down memory lane, when I saw movies like Brink, Johnny Tsunami, and Halloween classics like Hocus Pocus and all the Halloween Towns. Then to see TV shows I used to watch like That’s So Raven and Boy Meets World let me know that I can sit down and binge watch this list of Disney TV shows and movies if I wanted to go back to my child hood and escape reality for a bit.

Disney Star Wars Shows Found

Now I have not gotten a chance to thoroughly look through the Disney Star Wars shows found, but I am hearing nothing but great things about the show ‘The Mandalorian.’ I do want to point out that Disney is breaking new territory here in being the first and only streaming service that I can think of that has a channel focused on appealing to this huge and dynamic fan base for Star Wars shows and movies.

Favorite Listed Disney Plus Marvel Movie

Of course I appreciate this channel the most on Disney Plus, especially since it has so many of my favorite Disney Plus Marvel movies. Right now I am binge watching the Avengers Assemble Marvel TV series just to re watch their last encounter with Thanos as a tribute to Avengers Endgame. One of the other cool things about this channel is now you can watch documentaries that give a behind the scene look into how the Avengers were assembled for Cinematic view. It makes you feel a little closer to these characters when you get an inside look into the thought behind the creation of these characters by Marvel Studios for film. This channel is missing a few essential Marvel movies, but I am hearing there are more movies and TV shows to come in December to the Disney Plus movie list.

What is coming in Disney Plus in December?

I recently read an article on Forbes that has given a notice about a lot of great movies and TV shows that are being added to the Disney Plus movie list. One of the missing Marvel movies I mentioned before, ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ is among these movies. This as well as new episodes of ‘The Mandalorian’ and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, just lets me know that Disney knows there are still a few things missing and kinks to be worked out, but they are still working to grow this platform even more from its recent initial launch.

Thank for this very detailed review. Some of the shows you mention brought me down to memory lane as well. I remember watching “Boy Meet World”. I loved that show. Now there is “Girl Meet World”, and is not bad but nothing compared to the original. I might consider subscribing. I really miss those Disney shows, Have you recently watched any of the newer Disney Movies?

    • The Marvel Summoner says:

Yes, I actually watch Girls Meets World too and Raven’s Home. I see Disney Plus just added a continue watching section on the service so it is improving so I would definitely say consider getting it.
